BREAST ENLARGEMENT WITH HYAURONIC ACID INJECTIONS

Description of the procedure and treatment:

Women who wish to enlarge breasts without undergoing a surgery now have a non-surgical alternative to implants – breast fillers. One of them is an injection of stabilised, cross-linked hyaluronic acid. This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia or under the so called ‘sedation’ (short-term intravenous general anaesthesia) and does not require a hospital stay. It allows for a moderate increase in size and firmness of breasts. A drawback of this procedure is a gradual absorption of the filler; the effect lasts for approximately 1.5 - 2 years.

Postoperative Recommendations:

It is recommended to wear a compression garment for several days after surgery. It is also important to avoid physical exertion and overheating (for e.g. by using sauna). Sleeping on the stomach should be avoided for approximately one week, since it may affect the shape of the breast.

Work incapacity period:

Usually it is necessary to take 3 days off from work.
